System Engineer I
Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Discovery Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating ServiceNow discovery schedules and managing data imports from various data sources to support the CMDB and Asset Management processes. This role requires a solid understanding of networks, load balancers, firewalls, AWS, Azure, and VMware, as the primary goal is to extend and maintain the discovery of global enterprise infrastructure, as well as resolve issues related to credentials and firewalls.
- Operate and manage ServiceNow discovery schedules
- Import data from various sources into ServiceNow
- Monitor and maintain discovery processes for networks, load balancers, firewalls, AWS, Azure, and VMware environments
- Extend the discovery capabilities to support global enterprise infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to credentials and firewalls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data accuracy
- Document discovery processes and configurations
Qualifications
What makes you a dream candidate?
Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and IT Operations Management a plus
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, load balancers, firewalls, AWS, Azure, and VMware
- Experience with data import and integration from various sources
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues related to discovery processes
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to document and maintain detailed process documentation
Preferred Skills
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (Discovery)
- Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell
- Familiarity with ITSM and ITOM best practices
