Interns will participate in executive speaker series, career development workshops, philanthropic efforts, and team-building activities. Additionally, interns will have access to online learnings and a dedicated summer coach to further grow their careers with us.

Communications Intern Overview

We have four different teams with open roles. Please see details about each team and their role below:  


Employee Communications Intern

  • Help lead communications to drive employee engagement and increase adoption of our digital employee experience on the ServiceNow platform
  • Assist in supporting ongoing content governance management and best practices on our key employee channels.
  • Help reimagine our in-office digital signage content testing new, fresh content ideas across key areas and spaces.

Executive Communications Intern

  • Communicate complex topics effectively and create a range of content, including blogs and social posts that support the CFO’s narrative and thought leadership strategy.
  • Project manage working group and ensure team is tracking to deadlines.
  • Deliver quarterly reporting, analysis, and recommendations.

Public Relations Intern

  • Communicate complex topics effectively and create a range of content, from press releases and blogs and social posts to executive briefing materials and creative briefs, within the enterprise technology landscape.
  • Expand relationships with media.
  • Manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges.

Thought Leadership Communications Intern

  • Support the thought leadership and executive communications function for key leaders and business units in ServiceNow’s CSO and STEP organizations.  
  • Expand ServiceNow’s executive thought leadership footprint across new channels, ecosystems, and mediums, including video and podcasting.
  • Atomize and optimize existing content and create net-new thought leadership programs, strategies, and content that support key org- and company-wide objectives.  

Job Requirements

This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship. 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Communication Studies, Digital Communications, Digital Media Studies, Journalism, English, Public Relations or other related academic fields at an accredited college or university.
  • Graduating December 2024, or later. 
  • Able to commit to a 12-week internship in summer 2024 (May-August, or June-September). 

· Highly collaborative, team-oriented, detailed and organized with ability to multi-task.

· Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.

· Passion for storytelling and identifying trends.

· Ability to engage, face-to-face (or via Zoom), with cross-functional teams.

· Can-do, scrappy, creative spirit, with a desire to own projects from start to finish.

· Thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
