Responsibilities

The Product Firmware Development team is a customer-facing firmware team that focuses on firmware customization/feature development, as well as firmware issues and fix implementation. The team supports enterprise SAS NVMe (non-volatile memory express) as well as datacenter NVMe SSD firmware.

You’ll focus on OEM firmware development and support. As you progress, you’ll have opportunities to learn firmware architecture and embedded systems, code base, debug tools, project design, implementation, testing workflow, and so much more.

  • Analyze, debug, and resolve firmware issues observed at domestic and international customer sites as well as at local and overseas development centers.
  • Triage and root cause system, driver, and device interoperability issues at customer sites.
  • OEM Spec gap analysis, firmware customization/feature development; collaborate with other engineering teams to analyze debug information and implement and deploy firmware patches.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Location: Onsite at our San Jose headquarters 3 days a week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time

Job Requirements

  • BS in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science with 0 years of working experience
  • Graduation date between December 2023 - August 2024
  • Strong programming skills, proficient with C/C++
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems
  • Strong verbal and written skills for communication and documentation of technical information
  • Open to frequent and possible extended domestic and/or international travel
