As An Applications Developer With OMES You Will Enjoy

Position Summary

As an applications developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications using various platforms and tools, including Low-Code-No-Code (LCNC) platforms, and O365 applications, along with Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will work to create intelligent and efficient architectures that are focused on saving money while maximizing benefits using architectural design patterns. You will also collaborate with other developers, business/system analysts, technical architects, and business stakeholders to understand the requirements and deliver high-quality products with a “white-glove” service mentality to all peers, partners and stakeholders. This position is dedicated to Service Oklahoma.Job Details

  • Full-time 40-hour work weeks.
  • Support the Information Services Division.
  • Salary is up to $100,000.00 based on education and experience.
  • This is an on-site position located in Oklahoma City, OK.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop applications using multiple platforms such as Microsoft Power Apps, Azure, AWS, GCP, SQL, OnBase, UIPath, etc.
  • Integrate applications with other systems and services using APIs, connectors, or custom code
  • Test and debug applications to ensure functionality, performance, and security
  • Deploy and maintain applications on cloud and on-premise environments, with a focus of migrating on-premise systems to the State cloud(s)
  • Document and update application specifications, features, user guides, and architectures
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and clients
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and trends, such as OpenAI and other generative AI solutions
  • Work with the Office of Management and Enterprise systems (OMES) for Infrastructure, Architectural, and Development Standards and support
  • Refine and build the State/Service Oklahoma Reference Architecture

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required. Minimum Qualifications

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or management information systems from an accredited college or university or a vocational or technical education course resulting in certification in computer applications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and four years of computer applications experience.Preference Will Be Given To Candidates Who Possess

  • Certifications in the appropriate fields (examples – Azure, Google, AWS, etc.)
  • Experience in developing applications using different platforms and tools
  • Knowledge of system architecture principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with web development technologies
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and take the lead to guide and mentor others
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
