As part of our growth, we are currently looking for Associate Software Engineers to help us produce the best HVAC systems. Your work will enable building owners to provide optimal human comfort and safety while reducing energy consumption.
We are looking for a collaborative and creative Associate Software Engineer that thrives in a team environment, creating solutions for challenging customer-driven business needs. Â This role will be responsible for developing structured and verified software to meet customer needs. You will work closely partnering with other software and project engineers as well as with our technical support, development, and product teams.

Where is the work:
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite per week) based out of La Crosse, WI.
What you will do:
- Analyze, design, implement, test real-time embedded software for electronic industrial HVAC controls.
- Integrate software & hardware - test & verify system functionality.
- Help advance software development tools, technology and processes.
- Estimate tasks and generate schedules for reporting to leadership and end customers.
- Manage field reported defects.
- Follow established Trane product development procedures and guidelines.
- Estimated 5% travel.
What you will bring:
- 0-2 years of C++/Python/Microsoft .NET development (C#)
- 0-2 years of developing software using object-oriented design and implementation.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Compensation:
Base salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000.

Our prosperous commission plans grow over time with a successful employee’s growing pipeline. Some sales professionals may eventually move to 100% commission.
