
Controls Engineer
Job description
The Controls Engineer will support Roofing Systems and Integration Sales along with engineering and commissioning of smaller integration projects.
Sales Support Responsibilities:
- Attend Request for Quote Walk throughs:
- Gather information needed for sales to produce a quality proposal.
- Site investigations for Proposals:
- Investigate systems with more detail than the Request for Quote Walk though.
- Collect data:
- Drive Horsepowers
- Motor Horsepowers
- Enclosure sizes and posable locations
- Conduit runs
- Operator stations and functions
- Field devices and locations
- Procure Installation proposals from Electrical Contractors
- Create Electrical Contractor Task lists that Electrical Contractors can reference in their proposals
- Walk Electrical Contractors though job sight
- Review and evaluate Electrical Contractor proposals
Control Engineering Responsibilities:
- Engineer smaller projects (Projects with less than 200hours of engineering)
- Electrical Schematics
- Bill of Materials
- Programming
- Panel Test
- Commission and Start-Up of engineered systems:
- Smaller projects should take less than a week
Qualifications/Requirements:
- BSEE, BSME, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrate a commitment to follow-through
- Highly effective customer relationship skills
- Field experience in industrial manufacturing plants
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and analytical skills
- Display professional and technical confidence in a sales position
- Travel estimated at 25-30%, most trips to be less than one week
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to program PLCs; Rockwell Automation and others
- Abilit to program HMIs:
- Panelview ME and SE
- Wonderware
- Ignition
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary commensurate with experience, $100k-110k, plus bonus
