Data Engineer

B-Stock is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Data Engineer to help design, build, and maintain our data systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with experienced Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product teams to support data pipelines, assist in maintaining data quality, and contribute to data projects that power our SaaS products. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and data integrations.
• Collaborate with senior team members to understand and meet data requirements.
• Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting data processes and pipelines.
• Help with schema design, partitioning, and performance tuning under guidance.
• Contribute to the development of dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to data quality standards and best practices.
• Participate in data ingestion from internal and external data sources.
• Learn and apply concepts of cloud data infrastructure and data engineering tools.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical and/or quantitative field of study—e.g., computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, or equivalent and/or substantial related experience.
  
  

EXPERIENCE:

• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Basic experience or coursework in data structures, algorithms, and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with Python or similar programming languages.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS is a plus.
• Knowledge of data pipeline concepts (ETL/ELT) is desirable but not required.
• Eagerness to learn distributed data technologies and modern data architectures.

The pay rate for this role will range between $80,000 to $90,000, per annum. We consider many factors when determining salary offers, such as the applicant’s work experience, education and training, skills, market data, and internal equity.
