
Electrical Engineer
Job description
What you will enjoy doing*
- In this role, you will assist in developing electrical power distribution systems for large industrial applications and you will assist in the distribution design using recognized industry standards and specifications
- You will perform calculations and studies for electrical power systems using ETAP and / or SKM– load flow, voltage drop, motor starting, short circuit studies, relay coordination and arc flash studies
- Moreover, you will assist in setting protective relays based on the results of the above studies
- Review and check project related company drawings to ensure compliance with all company and project instructions / specifications is part of your tasks
- You will assist in reviewing and checking vendor drawings to ensure compliance with: the scope of the purchase order, system functionality, constructability and all company and project instructions / specifications
- Work in a multi-discipline environment to achieve an on-time project completion while maintaining consistent and accurate documentation is required
What Makes You Great
- You have a Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Technology Degree
- No professional experience required as this role is entry level
- Moreover, you know effective computer skills like Microsoft Office software, and other discipline specific software applications
- ETAP and / or SKM will be used in this role, as well as AutoCAD, any familiarity will be a plus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with superiors, colleagues, clients and vendors, moreover effective analytical and problem-solving skills are required
