About the Opportunity:
BAE Systems is Currently seeking a Second Shift Aftermarket Product Test Engineer. In this role, you will make impacts in the following ways:
- Troubleshooting customer product at both a unit level and Circuit Card Assembly level.
- When troubleshooting circuit card assemblies, looking at failed circuits, isolating the fault down to a component level, then dispositioning the repair procedures.
- Using analog and/or digital electronics and embedded systems including the use of standard electrical lab and test equipment as well as advanced troubleshoot tools to complete tasks.
- Support the manufacturing floor as needed to ensure that product continues to move through the process and play a vital part of instilling our company’s value of maintaining a lean culture. This includes constantly looking for continuous improvement opportunities.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronic Control Engineer, Electrical Control Engineering Technology or equivalent technical degree program, and some experience, or 2-3 years experience without degree.
- Enter FAA mandated Anti-Drug Pool. Subject to random drug testing.
- Intermediate-level technical skills and knowledge of technical requirements.
- Electronics component level troubleshooting and instrument familiarity (analog and/or digital).
- General understanding of electronics manufacturing process.
- Ability to interpret and apply technical specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in EET, ECET or EE, or equivalent technical degree program, and some work experience.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated ability in isolating electrical failures to root cause.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple activities in a team environment.
- Advanced-level technical skills, knowledge of technical requirements, and system flows skills relevant to job/area of work.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $63662 - $108225Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
