Job Description

We are seeking an energetic, quality-oriented individual to join our team as an entry level Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate should have a desire to work and grow their profession as a team player within a multi-discipline engineering firm.

Your primary role will include electrical design for facilities supporting new construction and renovations in collaboration with architects, civil, structural, mechanical and fire protection engineers. Duties include the development of electrical engineering design deliverables including drawings, specifications, calculations, testing requirements, acceptance criteria, reports, etc. This position will support projects with diverse and technically challenging electrical, controls, and telecommunication systems design for commercial, institutional, alternative energy, military, and industrial projects. The successful candidate will work closely with licensed professional engineers and design professionals to provide training and mentorship.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Engineer-in-Training having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam, or ability to pass the exam within 6 months
  • Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office 365 suite, Microsoft Teams, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently with senior engineer oversight
  • Ability to research applicable codes and standards to establish basis of design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organized

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Experience with National Electrical Code and application to design / construction  
  • Experience with electrical design, construction, or related field
  • Experience with power system analysis software (ETAP, EasyPower, SKM etc)
  • Strong knowledge and awareness of electrical systems and / or electrical installation construction practices
  • Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, construction background and/or work experience
  • The desire and motivation to learn the latest technologies and practices to enhance your professional career
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in alternative energy technologies and a strong commitment to contributing to the energy revolution through innovative engineering solutions.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience with Industrial Automation and Control systems, cybersecurity, and network design
