Electrical Engineer I

We are seeking a highly motivated, entry level Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to new product development, sustaining engineering, and manufacturing support in a collaborative and innovative environment. AMETEK Level Measurement Solutions (LMS) is a leader in precision analytical instrumentation for industrial applications. Our Aurora, IL location specializes in the design and manufacture of advanced analytical probes and systems used in demanding environments across industries such as energy, chemical processing, oil and gas, and environmental monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development of new analytical instrumentation and industrial probes.
• Support existing products through troubleshooting, redesign, and performance optimization.
• Develop and validate numerical models to simulate electrical and thermal behavior of probe systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, software, and manufacturing.
• Assist in transitioning designs from prototype to production, including documentation and testing.
• Provide hands-on support to manufacturing and quality teams to resolve production issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, signal processing, and embedded systems.
• Experience or coursework in numerical modeling tools (e.g., COMSOL, ANSYS, MATLAB).
• Familiarity with industrial instrumentation or analytical probe design is strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 10%.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried

Salary Minimum:  $65,000

Salary Maximum:  $80,000
