
Electrical Project Engineer
Job description
Provide electrical project engineering support for the mill. Â Main duties include engineering and managing capital projects from scoping through successful startup, including project viability analysis, requiring a proven technical background. Â Work will consist of managing designers, vendors, consultants, and contractors as required to complete projects in a cost competitive and timely manner. Occasional maintenance technical support will also be required. Power System Distribution, Generation, Relaying, and Maintenance.
Essential Function Responsibilities:
- Plan, budget, develop and direct electrical capital projects including power, PLC’s, drives and controls.
- Provide technical electrical engineering and project management oversight for the design, installation, and maintenance of plant electrical and instrumentation systems, including power systems, PLC’s, drives, etc.
- Oversee Power systems engineering including the Arc-Flash Program
Other Essential Functions:
- Assist with oversight and management of the Electrical Distribution System, 13.8 kV and under
- Assist in maintaining plant one-line diagrams
- Assist with troubleshooting related to operations and maintenance.
Entry Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Special Skills/Certifications, etc.:
- Skilled with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite
- Skilled with power system modeling software
- Be a motivated learner
- Able to work within multiple project timelines
