Our more than 6,000 employees are proud to work at our state-of-the-art sawmills and other facilities, including: manufacturing, custom wood-framed windows, fabrication, millwork, veneer, cogeneration, trucking, forestry, and other operations. Currently, we are seeking a qualified Computer Engineer to work collaboratively with our fabrication shop in Anderson, California. About the Position Work tightly with control and automation engineers to take concepts and turn them into reality for our production environment requirements. Start from the ground and work our way up, designing high performance and low latency code for the 21st century of modern industrial programming. As a member of our team, you will be contributing by:
- Writing high performance C++ algorithms
- Interfacing with industry’s latest sensor technologies
- Building user interfaces, improving user experience
- Conceptualizing new software and hardware solutions for our production needs
- Maintaining and improving our existing software codebase
- Communicating with our end-users (other SPI employees)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or comparable degree
- Proficient in C++, .Net, Python, preferably utilizing Visual Studio
- Experience preferred with A.I. (Computer Vision), PyTorch, Django, Microsoft WPF
- Exposure to databases, preferably PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MSSQL
- Solid understanding of college level mathematics (Trigonometry)
