
Entry Level Civil Engineer (E.I.)
Job description
Grady Minor, a Pape-Dawson company, is currently seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer (E.I.) to join their experienced, competitive, and diverse team of professionals. As a Civil Engineer, you will support our team in a variety of needs and gain invaluable work experience on projects that will shape the future of Southwest Florida.
Responsibilities
- Support and assist in the preparation of civil construction plans for streets and roadways, drainage, water and wastewater facilities, utility plans, technical memorandums, and permitting documentation.
- Support the Design Team and Project Managers from preliminary and conceptual design through final stages of design and through construction.
- Conduct permitting research and application submittals, land development codes review, utility standards review, construction administration assistance including review of materials, contractor requests for information, as well as on-site inspections during construction.
- Requires project management skills, ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary team members, and management of project budgets and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with fellow team members, clients, and regulatory agencies, and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work both in the field and in office settings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field from four-year college or university.
- Strong written and verbal skills required.
- Familiarity with Southwest Florida land regulations is preferred but not required.
- Must have passed or are planning on taking the fundamentals of engineering exam.
