Position Overview:

The Software Engineer will use his / her initiative, creativity and programming skills to design implement and maintain software products.  Based on the nature of the assigned project at the time, this employee may work independently or in a team.  In addition to the required skill set, the employee must be a self-motivated learner to keep his / her technical skills and knowledge current to meet the challenges at work.

Your Impact

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs.
  • Writes code using current programming language and technologies
  • Performs testing and debugging of applications
  • Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
  • May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications

  • Experience with complete software development life cycle
  • Troubleshooting experience in Internet and Networking protocols
  • In-depth knowledge of RDBMS / SQL
  • Must have exceptional analytical skills, ability to focus skill towards solution-driven results
  • Good written and oral communication skills

Job Complexity:

Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Builds stable working relationships internally.

Supervision Received and Exercised:

Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience and Education:

BA / BS in Computer Science or related technical degree

Typically requires no previous professional experience.
