Summary:

Software Engineering Internship supporting manufacturing process with emphasis on programming automation for work cells.  This opportunity is temporary employment for engineering students who are seeking a summer internship. This is a paid internship for 40 hours (except holidays) and begins in May/June 2025 and ends in August 2025. This internship is located in Winona, Minnesota and will require 100% on site attendance.

Focus on manufacturing and documentation of process for customer product, resulting in a product that supports the manufacturing environment, if applicable, to meet both the customers’ requirements and the internal manufacturing requirements.

The ideal candidate would be a self-motivated engineering student who is ready for a challenging internship in a fast-paced, electronics manufacturing environment.

Skills Required:

  • Utilize programming languages to program assembly robotic stations
  • Analyze complex instructions to assess for flaws/clarity
  • Utilize hand/power and precision assembly tools

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the programming of automation for various work cells
  • Participate in implementation of customer design requirements
  • Aid in development of manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Aid in development and execution of product build instructions
  • Collaborate with engineering peers on early prototype manufacturing
  • Collaborate with engineering peers on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews for design enhancement
  • Verify completed work, checking dimensions, materials to be used and quantities per the verification plan

Education:

Ideally pursuing degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering , or other relevant engineering majors.

Compensation Range:  $21 USD Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
