Job Description
Coffman Engineers is seeking a Mechanical Industrial Engineering Intern for our Spokane Office. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player, looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm. Â
We are looking for someone who works effectively with all personality types, is interested in being mentored by senior engineers in industrial machine design, and who desires to grow professionally and stay involved in the activities and exciting trends in the industry. Â We work in tight-knit teams that support each other and are managed with a healthy work-life balance that is focused on development and caring for the whole person. Â

Qualifications
- Enrolled as a full-time student in a mechanical engineering program at a nationally recognized, accredited college
- Two years of required courses completed towards an undergraduate mechanical engineering degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of Computer-Aided Drafting, particularly SolidWorks and AutoCAD, is a plus
- Previous work experience in construction or machine/fab shops is a plus
Knowledge of machine design and finite element analysis (FEA) is preferred. No paid interview travel or relocation expenses are offered for this position. Onsite position – remote candidates will not be considered.
