JR. DEVELOPER

Under direct supervision supports, designs, documents, codes, implements, and maintains web applications. Working closely with Senior Level programmers to provide solutions to business unit needs, while also conducting research and development. Performs other related duties as assigned.

WORKING REMOTELY IS ACCEPTABLE.

• Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of a set of existing websites and applications.
• Responsible for coding and monitoring custom queries and programs, like existing reports created using Microsoft’s Power BI software.  Responsible to create reports using this software as well.
• Interprets design documents on simple projects under direct supervision.
• Responsible for ensuring that websites are accessible in multiple browsers and that all web applications work correctly.
• Responsible for trouble shooting and resolving web program support issues as reported by the users.
• Implements programs across one or more websites.
• Works with functional and business teams to understand business user requirements.
• Manages concurrent tickets/tasks.  
• Prepares progress reports for all work performed.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of these web development tools and utilities:
  • Microsoft Power BI Software, RPGLE (free or fixed format) Apache Server, RPGSP, SQL, HTML, CSS, XML/JSON, JavaScript, AJAX, Visual Basic, C# and ActionScript.
• At least a 2 year Degree in Information Systems.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and stringent timelines, make sound priority judgments, and have the initiative to work independently as well as in a team setting.
• Effective written and oral communication skills and attention to detail and accuracy are essential and strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills required.
