Jr. Software Developer
Job description
Edge360 (a 3Si company), is looking for a motivated individual to fill the position of Jr. Software Developer. Â As a Cleared Jr. Software Developer, your responsibilities will include participating in technical development, testing, debugging, and implementation of enhancements to applications within area of responsibility. Additionally, you will be tasked with writing technical user guides and supporting documentation.
Requirements
- Participate in software development, debugging, and testing for enterprise applications
- Implement enhancements and updates to existing systems under the direction of senior developers
- Assist in the preparation of technical user guides and support documentation
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the mission and goals of the team
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Experience with API development using the RESTful design pattern
- Working knowledge of Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Direct oversight from Supervisor or Manager
- Performing other duties as needed to help fulfill our mission
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- Associate degree in a technical discipline combined with relevant experience and/or industry certifications may also be considered
- 0–3 years of experience in software development
- Experience with C# and .NET
- Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or unit testing
- Experience writing reusable C# libraries
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and writing stored procedures
Additional Comments
- Active Secret or higher U.S. Government security clearance required
- Position on-site in Alexandria, VA.
- Successful candidates must pass a comprehensive background investigation
- Pre-employment drug screening is required
Salary Description
$65k - $90k per year
