Are you a detail-oriented engineer ready to launch your career in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment? JRC is seeking a Jr. Systems Engineer to support a portfolio of construction and equipment installation projects across Department of Defense (DoD) facilities. In this role, you’ll apply systems and network engineering principles to help shape the infrastructure that supports national defense. You’ll collaborate with diverse stakeholders, manage engineering documentation, and play a key role in risk management and project integration.
🛠 What You’ll Do
- Capture, analyze, and validate technical requirements.
- Develop systems architecture and manage interfaces and configuration control.
- Track and manage Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Create and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for equipment and facility specifications.
- Ensure version control and compliance across all engineering documentation.
- Identify and assess technical and schedule risks.
- Support the development and execution of risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintain project-specific risk registries.
🎯 What You Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations and working with diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret clearance.
- Experience developing technical reports, specifications, and operational procedures (test plan creation is a plus).
- Proficiency in systems engineering tools such as DOORs, Cameo, JIRA, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills to assess impacts of changes and interdependencies.
- Familiarity with government and industry standards (e.g., MIL-STD, ICD-705, IEEE).
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical data to varied audiences.
- Ability to break down complex technical issues and develop logical, evidence-based solutions.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities across engineering disciplines.
- Collaborative mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
