Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking Application Programmer I to support an IT Managed Services program for a major national laboratory. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations. The Application Programmer I will provide on-site and off- site and related support services for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems for the customer with a workforce of approximately 14,000 personnel.Responsibilities

  • Participates in continuous improvement of our processes & procedures, by improving existing code & unit tests.
  • Assist Senior members with interpreting software requirements & design specifications for new functionality to code, integrate & test software components.
  • Join a team which will be performing operations and maintenance duties for a system with customizations on the customer’s computer network.
  • Monitoring workflow processes & assist with process improvement.
  • Managing configuration settings
  • Monitoring shell scripts that manage bulk identity loads & the provisioning processes.
  • Applying patches to the custom user interface and responding to user & site-administrator requests for assistance.
  • Assist in the Design & Programming of Back Office Systems to streamline processes & procedures.
  • Assist with personnel onboarding & off-boarding procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in a related field; Software & Programming coursework is essential.
  • In lieu of a degree, relevant experience is applicable
  • U.S. citizenship is required per Contract to obtain and maintain U.S. Department of Energy Clearance, with the ability t o obtain and maintain a DOE Q or DOD TS clearance.
  • Experience working or volunteering within an Office Environment.
  • .Net & C# programming experience
  • Experience with databases, with Oracle &/or SQL a big plus.
  • Experience with JavaScript & SQL Server.

Desired

  • IT Certifications such as A+, Net+, Microsoft or Apple Certs.
  • Experience with or completion of Coding/Scripting Bootcamp or similar coursework.
  • Critical Thinking skills & the ability to use creativity & knowledge to create solutions

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000Additional benefits include:
