Job Description

You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Missiles and Fire Control team. Our team is responsible for delivering cutting‑edge missile and fire‑control solutions that protect lives and enable mission success.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for translating detailed engineering specifications into production‑ready tooling, equipment, and processes that drive efficient, high‑quality manufacturing.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop tooling and equipment designs from hardware specifications and create complete technical data packages for fabrication.
  • Produce design documentation in accordance with company standards using SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
  • Provide on‑site engineering support to the production floor, troubleshooting integration issues and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
  • Research, plan, and design mechanical systems—including instruments, controls, and thermal‑hydraulic components—tailored for missile and fire‑control applications.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, apply GD&T principles, and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.

Desired skills

• Proficient with MS Office suite
• Knowledgeable of machine / tool mechanical design
• Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes
• Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, CREO, or Solid Works.
• Knowledgeable of engineering materials
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
