We are seeking an innovative, data driven, results-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to our continued legacy of innovation. This person is responsible for mechanism design and validation, working as part of a mechanical team responsible for developing new products and sustaining existing products. The position is based in Salem, OR on a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Onity Engineering Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop solid models in PTC Creo
  • Manage product lifecycles using Siemens Teamcenter
  • Validate prototypes by using environmental test chambers, cycle testers, etc.
  • Provide fixtures, gages, process development, and training to the manufacturing team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical sustaining issues in the field
  • Collaborate with peers from initial brainstorming through release to manufacturing
  • Provide reliable estimates of future efforts with clear identification of risks and assumptions
  • Manage conflicting demands by prioritizing work and communicating clearly

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
