Lockheed Martin Space in Englewood, CO is seeking a Mechanical Propulsion Engineer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: manage hardware components within a ballistic missile, be empowered to develop technical solutions, and potentially be the technical lead of a component throughout different phases of the product life-cycle (qualification, production, service support, aging, etc.).

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of mechanical design and any combination of exposure to: engineering project management, propulsion, rocketry, aerodynamics, or materials or fluids.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills

- Hands-on experience with mechanical design (such as team projects, extra-curricular clubs, internship, or hobby application experience)
- Missile/rocket and/or aerospace-related education or experience
- Experience with CAD and hardware modeling tools (e.g. SolidWorks/CREO, Matlab)
-Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
-Experience in gas/fluid dynamics or energetics/propellants
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership and initiative

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
