Mechanical Engineer

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Power sector is preferred).
• 0-10 years of experience in designing plumbing, firefighting systems and other mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in digital software such as AutoCAD, Revit tool is a must.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power point… etc).
• Programming tools knowledge shall be a bonus point.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiar with relevant local and international codes, standards and regulations.
• Accreditation from different engineering bodies shall be a bonus point.
• V. Good in written and spoken English.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Prepare design for different Mechanical Systems (Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Pools and Water Features, Medical Gases, Fuel and LPG) for different buildings typologies/applications.
• Prepare design calculation and equipment selection for different Mechanical Systems, including Firefighting Hydraulic calculation (using Elite or similar software’s).
• Preparing project specifications & BOQ.
• Generate design drawings & models using both CAD & Revit software tools.
• Managing design team and technically support sub-ordinates.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and different stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Attend project meetings and collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Review designs for accuracy, technical feasibility, and code compliance.
• Prepare and submit project deliverables on time and within budget.
• Awareness with Different local & international codes & standards used in Qatar, KSA, Abu Dabhi, Oman and other gulf countries.
• Prepare Authorities submittals and obtain approvals.
