Job description
The Mechanical FEA Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the mechanical stress analysis of the systems. This entails setting up analysis models while paying close attention to defeaturing and boundary conditions, running analyses against the customers’ requirements, and summarizing results into reports and presentations. Typical engineering analyses required to support the design include static and dynamic stress, modal, vibration, shock. Participation in test planning, set-up, and validation, as well as validation of models against test data is also required.
Regular interaction with engineers, technicians, and other disciplines (manufacturing, quality, etc) as well as frequent contact with suppliers, test facilities, contractors, and customers is required. Occasional light travel will be involved.
