Mechatronics & Systems Engineer

Development and proposal of electromechanical systems, components, and software related to the vehicles developed within YMMC Product Development for Golf Cars, Off-Road Recreation Vehicles, and Personal Water Vehicles. Development encompasses new design development, 3D/2D CAD creation/ submittal, validation support and countermeasure, cost reduction, ease of manufacturing and other tasks needed for the support of vehicle development. Proposal of electromechanical systems, components, and software to improve vehicle usage and marketability.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test mechatronic systems and components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Conduct research and analysis to improve existing systems and develop new technologies.
• Participate in the prototyping and validation of new designs for off road vehicles, golf cars, and personal water vehicles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in mechatronic systems, including but not limited to powertrain, chassis, and infotainment systems.
• Document design processes, test results, and project progress.
• Support the maintenance and calibration of equipment and tools.

Qualifications

Education / Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Other Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
• Basic programming skills (e.g., C/C++, Python, MATLAB).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Physical Requirements:

90%-100% of time spent in office environment.
