
Robot Regulation Developer
Job description
We are looking for a Robot Developer to join our R&D team in designing and optimizing robot models and technical regulations for a high school robotics competition. This role offers a great opportunity to work on robotic hardware, programming, and mechanical design while ensuring that competition robots meet standardized rules.
If you have experience with robotics platforms, embedded systems, and prototyping, this is an exciting chance to work on cutting-edge educational robotics development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and test robot models that fit the competition’s requirements.
- Define technical regulations for robot construction, including size, weight, sensor usage, and movement constraints.
- Collaborate with Rule Developers to ensure robots can perform the required tasks within the rules.
- Optimize control mechanisms using platforms like Arduino, LEGO Mindstorms, Raspberry Pi.
- Support technical troubleshooting during test runs and assist teams with robot-related issues.
- Document robot specifications and guidelines for participants.
Qualifications
1. General Requirements
- Passion for robotics, hardware development, and STEM education.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, especially with Rule Developers and Engineers.
- Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities for designing functional robots.
2. Role-Specific Requirements (Robot Developer)
- Experience with robot hardware design, sensor integration, and motor control.
- Knowledge of Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LEGO Mindstorms, or similar platforms.
- Basic programming skills in Python, C++, or MATLAB are a plus.
