Software Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Software Developer to join our team. In this position, you are responsible for developing, testing, installing and modifying computer equipment such as operating systems, compilers, utilities, multiprogramming and telecommunications systems.

• Creates logic flowcharts and encodes, tests, debugs, documents and installs programs
• Interfaces with and supports the applications programming effort
• Provides technical consulting on routine projects
• Follows standard procedures to solve basic problems considering computer equipment capacity, operating time and desired results
• Codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains programs
• Performs other duties as assigned

‍Qualifications‍

• Background investigation (company-wide)

• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Required Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
• One year of Java development experience with Spring
• One-year experience with EXT JS or Angular JS or React JS
• Experience with relational and object oriented modeling, required
• Experience with requirements gathering and documentation, required

Preferred Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, preferred
• Experience writing test classes and test methods, preferred

• Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
• Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
• Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
• Multi-task along with attention to detail
• Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
• Work independently and as part of a team

Machines, Equipment and Technical Abilities

• Email transmission and communication
• Internet navigation and research
• Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word and Excel
• Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet

Physical Demands

• Utilize computer for extensive hours; close vision
• Move about the facility, physically communicating to others.
• Occasionally moves equipment such as a personal computer or display weighing up to 25 pounds
• Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking and listening
• Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
