The Role

Develop innovative features that help our restaurant partners operate more efficiently and provide exceptional, seamless experiences for their customers. You’ll work primarily in Python to build embedded products for our shops. You’ll want to be flexible in your tech stacks to meet our customer’s needs with some experience in Raspberry Pi’s, RP2350’s and other similar hardware.

We appreciate interest from candidates of all experience levels. However, at this time, we are unable to consider recent graduates or those without at least two or more years of professional, industry experience. Job titles and responsibilities can vary widely across companies, so if shortlisted, we will use the interview process to evaluate and determine the best fit at Slice based on your specific skills and experience.

You'll join a dynamic team of 5–8 Embedded Developers specializing in cutting-edge embedded technologies, dedicated to building exceptional solutions that empower local business owners and enhance the customer experience. The core competencies this role calls for:

• Proven experience and passion for using Python, Flask, Databases, Monitoring and logging systems
• Experience with production usage of Raspberry Pi’s, RP2350s and other hardware. C experience, Linux configuration and docker experience are also useful.
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating asynchronously with teammates in different timezones and from different backgrounds
• Able to clearly express opinions on product design, while respecting the thoughts and opinions of your peers
