Software Developer Microsoft Stack Internship

Comp: $25.00-$30.00 hourly

Students eligible to participate in our summer internship program must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher. Start and end dates will be determined based on the selected candidate’s school schedule. Interns are expected to work 10 weeks (at 40 hours per week).

During our summer internship program, you will be given assignments that expand on the skills you have developed in school and provide on-the-job experience.

The Software Developer Microsoft Stack Internship Intern is responsible for providing support for the Engineering team by assisting in the development and maintenance of the system.

The Software Developer Microsoft Stack Internship is part of the Engineering team and reports to the Data and Algorithms Engineering Manager. Will join the BMIS team to develop and support the BMIS system. Will be responsible for defect investigation and correction, development, and support of integration between the IoT device and the BMIS cloud infrastructure. Develop software solution using Microsoft Azure serverless technologies and the .Net language.  

Responsibilities:

• Interact with Android, embedded, and QA teams on the investigation and resolution of defects.

• Develop solutions for the internal support website, customer-facing website, IoT API, customer-facing API, and unattended import/export data jobs.

• Design and support the SQL server back-end database.

• Support the data analysis request from other company teams.  

• Collaborate in the creation of solution proposals and project estimations.  

• Participate in code reviews.

• Demonstrate a desire for continuous improvement and advancing quality.

• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional priority shifting.

Requirements:

• Current student pursuing bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology

• Demonstrate a positive can-do attitude

• Analytical and critical thinker

• Self-organized and able to handle concurrent tasks

• Excellent communication skills

• SQL query language and SQL server database design and performance enhancement techniques

• Knowledge of C# and web development languages like Javascript and HTML

• Knowledge of the Microsoft .Net stack focus on .Net Core and .Net Framework

• Development of web applications using ASP.net

• Understanding of SOLID development patterns.• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.  

• Must be able to use hands in order to type.  

• Must be able to view computer screen for long periods of time
