Introduction to the job

We are looking for someone who is passionate with software quality and testing. As a member of the Platform SDET engineer, you will be responsible for writing test codes (white box testing) to ensure software design and implementation as required, to work closely with developers to improve software testability, to design, build and maintain automated test framework, tools and infrastructure, which are leading the way in assuring high quality of ASML’s world-class product. You will be challenged with high skill in both software design and development as well as quality testing methodologies in concurrent computing software architecture environment. You will work closely with software developers, and the application engineering organization on a regular basis. Job description subject to change at any time.

Role and responsibilities

  • Design tests  based on software design and internal structure of an application
  • Review software implementation and codes to identify issues and suggest improvements on testability
  • Perform unit or modular tests at code level (white-box testing) before or after code merge
  • Analyze and verify results at code level
  • Participate in debugging and root cause analysis
  • Design, build and improve test infrastructure and automation framework
  • Build and maintain automation tests and Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipeline
  • Develop test tools to enable SQA to be able to analyze results and execute test efficiently.

Education and experience

  • Master’s degree or above  in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or any related engineering fields
  • Proficiency in software development with coding skills of C++, Python and any required programming language
  • Deep understanding of software development principles, designs/architecture and practices.
  • Knowledge and experience of test automation framework and tools
  • Expertise in testing techniques and methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze complex system, identify potential issues and propose effective solutions
  • Good communication, collaboration and team working skills

Skills

  • Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads.
  • Excellent hands-on experience to work in Unix/Linux and Windows env
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency and professionalism.
  • Identifies bottlenecks and drives improvements.
  • Proficient programming skills in any scripting language(s) to perform test automation
  • Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate open, clear, concise and professional communication.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and customer.

Other information

Responsibilities  

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • U.S. Flexible Work policy may be available to employees who work in conductive roles.   Mutually-beneficial alternative work arrangement must be approved by manager – hymbrid working Model.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$117,000-195,000

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
