The Role

As a Software Engineer, you’ll work on core parts of our platform:

  • Video Upload and Encoding pipelines
  • MRSS/RSS feed generation
  • Video player services and ad-tech monetization
  • Content management, analytics, and API integrations

You’ll contribute directly to production systems, ship features quickly, and learn modern cloud patterns while collaborating closely with senior engineers.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain backend services for video uploads, content management, and feeds.
  • Write clean, tested code and contribute to code reviews.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teammates on features from idea to deployment.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the stack (cloud services, APIs, data pipelines).
  • Document systems and share learnings in a fast-moving environment.

What You’ll Bring

  • 0–5 years of professional experience (internships, open source, or project work also considered).
  • Proficiency in one or more languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, SQL.
  • Familiarity with modern web stacks (REST/GraphQL, SQL, object storage, queues).
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a bias to action.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work in a hybrid team setting.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with video technologies (HLS/DASH, ffmpeg, CDNs).
  • Frontend knowledge with React/Next.js.
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $70,000 – $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
  • Equity package.
  • Flexible PTO and hybrid work environment.

Compliance

  • Pay Transparency: In compliance with New York State law, the compensation range for this role is $70,000 – $180,000 base salary, plus equity and benefits.
