Developer Internship (Django/Full-Stack) — ERISA Dev Challenge 2025

Calling all developers and students! We are offering up to three paid internships this fall to applicants to can successfully complete our ERISA Dev Challenge! Skip the traditional interview process and show us your skills with code. To apply, complete our challenge using the required stack (Django v4+, SQLite, HTML/CSS + HTMX, Alpine.js). In addition to cash prizes, top submissions proceed to interviews and paid on-site internships.

About ERISA Recovery

We help hospitals recover denied insurance revenue and build software that helps us do so. Join us to ship real internal tools that matter.

What you’ll do (as an intern)

• Build and extend Django apps used daily by our analysts.
• Write clear, secure, maintainable code following our standards and Azure DevOps workflow.
• Document setup, decisions, and trade-offs in concise procedures and READMEs.
• Iterate quickly based on code review feedback; demo progress to the team.

Minimum qualifications

• Comfortable with Python and basic web development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
• Some experience with Django (v4+) and SQL.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and local dev tooling.
• Ability to learn fast, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines.
• No degree required

Nice to have

• HTMX and Alpine.js experience.
• Basic testing, performance, and security awareness.
• Curiosity about healthcare data workflows.

• Download the sample data and build your solution with required tech stack (Django, SQLite, etc.)
• Submit by the deadline -- September 14th, 2025 with your public Github Repo link and resume

• Winners announced: September 22, 2025
• Office tours & interviews: September 23–27, 2025

Internship details (pending offer)

• 3-month paid internship, $30–$35/hour + PTO
• 1-on-1 mentorship, paid certification opportunities
• On-premises gym membership, free daily lunch
• Possibility of full-time offer (w/ benefits) after internship
