
Software Engineer Co-op

Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and testing of software components for surgical navigation and robotic systems and their manufacturing
- Support the creation of user interfaces using Qt/QML
- Participate in the development of tools, utilities, and libraries to support product functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, clinical experts, and QA.
- Contribute to documentation and design reviews.
- Engage in code reviews and learn best practices in software craftsmanship and test-driven development.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics Engineering or a related field.
- Coursework or project experience in object-oriented programming, preferably in C++.
- Exposure to Qt/QML or interest in learning GUI development frameworks.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication tools like Microsoft Teams
- Interest in robotics, medical devices, or motion control systems.
- Exposure to image processing and machine learning concepts is a plus.
