Job Description

Position Summary:

The Software Engineer Co-Op will be responsible for assisting the Product Development team with design and development of implants and/or medical devices, as well as supporting sustaining engineering activities for launched products.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain and support verification procedures, tools, programs, and training on existing products
• Validate the implementation of device software
• Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications
• Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
• Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
• Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering discipline (Software, Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical)
• Experience with wet lab work (e.g. mammalian cell culturing and analytical testing) preferred
• Experience with CREO, SolidWorks, or VISIO software for design and drafting preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Strong self-starting skills, well organized, detail-oriented and capable of working in a deadline driven environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
