What You'll Do

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our WSRS CRM team within Retirement Income Solutions. As a key member of our team, you'll play an important role in enhancing our customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities. You'll work on impactful projects including Sales Prospecting optimization and the future implementation of Financial Service Cloud, contributing to improved sales effectiveness and relationship management. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, your work will focus on maximizing the value of our Salesforce platform to support our sales and service teams’ daily operations and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions
  • Write clean, efficient code with proper documentation and automated testing
  • Develop custom solutions utilizing Salesforce platform capabilities
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders
  • Perform code reviews and maintain coding standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Implement automated testing and deployment processes
  • Optimize existing solutions for enhanced performance

Who You Are

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree, preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field or equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain certification(s) in an IT related field is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred
  • Basic planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required
  • Proficiency with database applications, knowledge of mainframe, distributed and/or web programming language
  • Basic leadership skills preferred
  • Excellent time management skills preferred
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Must have the desire and ability to learn new technology and continuously grow
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with both IT and non-IT partners
  • Some travel may be required, including overnight stays
  • May be required to provide on-call support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to Apex programming, Lightning Components, and Visualforce
  • Exposure with SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce APIs
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$60000 - $71000 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments

This role offers the ability for in-office and hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek) work arrangements in Des Moines, IA or Charlotte, NC locations. There is an expectation for this role to work on site at least 3 days a week.

Hours

This role will partner with our global teams and has an expectation for flexibility in your work schedule with a frequent 7am CST start time.
