
Software Engineer I

As a Software Engineer I you will have the opportunity to write and debug programs, design and build integrations, peer review code, use debugging tools and development tools, tune applications and understand how the application interacts in a technical environment. Â Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by collaborating, coordinating and performing the implementation of new, and maintaining existing integrations. This is an on-site position at our Corporate office in Carthage, MO.
So, what will you be doing as a Software Engineer I?
- Collaborate with end users to understand their needs and develop effective solutions
- Support and improve existing software in line with defined objectives and specifications
- Design, build, test, and implement new applications, tools or features
- Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle
- Troubleshoot issues and answer questions reported by the user community
- Unit test new programs to ensure that logic and syntax are correct, and program results are accurate
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to work in a collaborative and inclusive team environment
- Ability to work effectively with international user communities and offshore support teams
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting technical documentation, and attention to detail
- Development experience with C#, .NET Core and Rest APIs
- Development experience with RDBMS systems, specifically MSSQL, and the development of T-SQL queries and views
Things we consider a plus:
- Experience working with Dynamics 365 F&O, and developing in X++ is a plus
- Experience with COBOL/Visual COBOL is a plus
- Experience with SSIS/SSRS is a plus
- Understanding Azure services and architecture is a plus
