ASRC Federal System Solutions supports the FAA NAS ESS (Federal Aviation Administration National Airspace System Engineering Support Services) contract.  Join our growing team as a Software Engineer Level 3 in support of the FAA’s AJW-151 Power and Environmental Systems Team.
Responsibilities:
- Configure the Mini PC with a kiosk mode.
- Research, design, development, test, evaluation, and maintenance of software, operating system, and network & computer hardware systems in an integrated manner.
- Ensures the cybersecurity posture of network equipment is maintained during all maintenance, monitoring activities, installations or upgrades, and throughout day to day operations.
- Ensures adherence to all DOT Departmental Cybersecurity Policy.
- Adheres to configuration management (CM) requirements, and performs changes as required.
- Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and Supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize output.
- Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.
- Will relay any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.
Requirements:
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years.
On-site presence will be as required by the FAA.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the importance of testing during all phases of the software development process.
- Knowledge of computer operating systems, software, and hardware with proven ability to debug complex systems and to conduct reviews, audits, and testing.
- Experience in applying operating system security updates and patched.
- Good written and spoken communication including developing technical documentation.
- Ability to coordinate efforts with others for the timely completion of projects and deliverables.
- Ability to pass an FAA background investigation.
- Must be local to the OKC area.
- US Citizenship is preferred or Permanent Residency,
Education/Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Science, or related field
- Experience with C++/C#, Python, and Java
- Experienced with Microsoft Windows 10/11 including customized configuring.
- Familiar with Kiosk mode.
- Familiar with Modbus protocol is desirable.
- Experience configuring security for operating systems (Windows and/or Linux).
- Experience with System Administration or Cyber Security.
