What You’ll Do
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the engineers and scientists who are developing the next generation of Lake Shore software for our state-of-the-art instruments. Your primary duties may include:

  • Applying modern software concepts and patterns to translate software requirements into design.
  • Using various software development languages, technologies, and tools to build applications.
  • Developing mobile software using Microsoft .NET technologies.
  • Writing performant, readable, modular, and testable code using advanced software engineering techniques.

What We’re Looking For.

  • Working toward an undergraduate bachelor's degree in a Software Engineering (CSE), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), or a related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with C#
  • Experience with embedded development is a plus
  • Experience with Python is a plus
