Summer Intern - Software Engineer

About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you will be developing & maintaining software platforms associated with next-generation audio, video, light & control systems in Harman’s Professional Solutions SBU. You will collaborate and work closely with Harman personnel to develop and integrate software platforms to deliver successful products.
Your Team
You will be reporting to the Sr. Manager, Software Engineering / R&D.
What You Will Do
- Participate in developing, deploying & maintaining software platforms associated with next-generation audio, video & control systems.
- Participate in the lifecycle of a software product including Requirement Management, Design, Development, Testing, Integration & Release Management.
- Be part of a process-oriented culture for a team developing software products using agile methodologies.
What You Need
- Pursuing a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
- Experience in developing software applications in C++ and or C#.
What is Nice to Have
- Experience with HTML / CSS / JavaScript.
- Knowledge of Angular is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of QT is highly preferred.
What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to work in an office in Richardson, TX.
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
- Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work.
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
- Must provide full work availability from June 2, 2025, through August 22, 2025, and be able to work 40 hours per week depending on workload.
