About Me
With a B.S. in Software Engineering and hands-on experience in both cybersecurity and IT, I bring a strong technical foundation and a passion for defending organizations against evolving cyber threats. My journey spans leading software development projects, administering cloud and enterprise IT lab environments, and applying security best practices in real-world scenarios. I love to learn, and am always ready to fill in gaps in my knowledge! I am Security+ certified and have completed the Google IT Support and Google Cybersecurity Certificates, equipping me with rigorous, skills-based training in IT support, incident response, and security operations. Through extensive SOC analyst labs (LetsDefend), I have developed practical expertise in monitoring security events, analyzing network traffic, and responding to incidents using SIEM tools like Splunk and Elastic Stack. As Lead Developer at Endo, I manage technical infrastructure, implement secure full-stack applications, and drive system architecture decisions—skills directly applicable to modern security operations. My background also includes AI testing, where I evaluated and improved model performance, and leadership roles in the Civil Air Patrol, where I maintained operational security and led technical teams. Currently, I am expanding my cloud and security knowledge through advanced certifications (AWS, PenTest+) and hands-on projects, including building enterprise IT and SIEM home labs. I am eager to leverage my technical, analytical, and collaborative skills in an entry-level SOC Analyst or IT security role, contributing to proactive threat detection and resilient cyber defense.
