About Me
I'm Emma Bumgarner (she/her/hers), a creative thinker, storyteller, writer and communication professional. I also consider myself to be a rhetorician—I know the context surrounding a message and the delivery style are just as important as a given message itself. I have a slight obsession with Plato’s theory of “mimesis” and the way many works are interpretations of and commentary on reality, and are re-interpretations or inspired by previously existing work. (Ask me about the 1960 French horror film Les Yeux Sans Visage if you want to nerd out). When I’m not broadening my communication horizons or working on my debut novel, you can find me at a local yoga studio, cooking something yummy from scratch, lounging with my 11 yr old yellow lab while reading a romantasy novel, or rooting for the SF Giants because I’m a huge baseball fan!
