About Me
My name is Farin Mehdiyeva. I am a recent college graduate in Mass Communications with experience in social media management and content creation. Through my coursework and internships, I have developed skills in creating various types of content, including blog writing, newsletters, graphics, and both short- and long-form video. Over the course of my two years at university, I have produced and edited podcasts and news stories on key community issues. I was also the director for a 20 minute documentary called "Lost in Silence" as a part of my video production coursework. Outside of class, I have conducted grantwriting and research projects with local nonprofits such as Asheville Poverty Initiative and Appalachian Wildlife Refuge. I would love to use my writing or video editing skills to take on roles that involve working in marketing, social media, or public relations. I am always interested in taking on new challenges that would help expand my current skill set.
