About Me

My name is Hertha and I am a 24 year old from Iceland with a BA in comparative literature. In my studies I focused mainly on theatre and plays but I also took a wide varity of other literature courses. I did a four moth study abroad program in Ireland where I studied modern Irish literature and the works of Martin McDonagh. I have also taken courses in creative writing, script wirting and opinion pieces. Along side my studies I have worked in a youth centre that works with kids and teenagers from 10-16 years old. Before my bachelor degree I graduated from a one year visual art program. I have also worked as a director of a street theatre in my home town municipality Kópavogur where me and my co-director instructed a group of 16 and 17 year olds for a summer. Their job was to create street theatre and put up a orginal childrens play for the kindergarteners of Kópavogur.
