About Me
My research experience in the UMass Food Science Laboratory has deepened my scientific knowledge. I’ve worked with infectious bacteria such as Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella, and E. coli, developing and quantifying their biofilms. I also tested novel cell counting methods using a new method with 3-MPBA and a gold chip to quantify biofilm. I have operated autoclaves to ensure sterile conditions. This combination of lab precision and communication makes me well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to your team and effectively present research findings in both collaborative and formal settings. In addition to my technical abilities, my current role as a Departmental Assistant at UMass has allowed me to refine my communication and organizational skills. I engage with prospective students and facilitate their understanding of the program, which requires accurate communication and data annotation. I believe these skills will be invaluable when collaborating with your team and presenting research findings.
