About Me
"Hi, I'm Jared Jimenez-Jenkins. I'm passionate about leveraging data to drive positive social change, particularly in areas like public health and economic development. Currently, I'm pursuing my Master's in Data Analytics and Computational Social Sciences at UMass Amherst. My recent project, analyzing the impact of harm reduction strategies on drug-related statistics in the United States is just one example of what I want to use my skill set for in the future. What sets me apart is my combined experience in data analysis with hands-on community engagement. For over three years, I've been an educator at the YWCA, developing and implementing educational programs for students aged 10-13, resulting in a 45% increase in student engagement. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the challenges facing communities and the importance of data-driven solutions. I'm eager to connect with professionals in the data science and public policy fields. I'm particularly interested in exploring opportunities where I can apply my analytical skills to address complex social issues.
