About Me
My name is Kiaira Wheeler, and I am a senior at Delaware State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a concentration in Digital Media Production, set to graduate in May 2025. With a passion for media and storytelling, I have gained diverse experience in both digital and broadcast fields. I have worked as a camera operator at Delaware State University Alumni Stadium, covering basketball and football games, and have created social media content to engage and connect with students at DSU. My career journey also includes serving as a copywriting intern at In Da Mix Radio. In addition to my work in media, I am actively involved in organizations such as Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, where I aim to create a podcast to inform audiences about the organization and its history. I write articles for HerCampus Magazine and serve as a student leader within the Student Government Association and DESU Radio Station. I am driven by my goal to use my voice in media to create impactful content and plan to continue building my portfolio through internships and freelance work. With a vision of one day working with top media companies like BET or CBS, I am determined to use my career to amplify important issues and perspectives.
