About Me
During my time at Chapman University, I chose to tackle an English Literature major, which required me to be incredibly detail-oriented, and allowed me to build confidence and skill in seeing any project through from the brainstorm process to the completed end product, with a Creative and Cultural Industries minor to balance my creative passions. The result was years of creating, critical thinking, drafting, writing, and editing, skills that I feel represent me to my core. Towards the end of my academic journey, I bolstered my academic prowess with internships that further fueled my enthusiasm. Among these was a position as a writer at an online magazine, where I was able to create topics based upon my knowledge of emerging trends, and then as a Fashion PR Intern at an agency in Los Angeles, where I explored the intersections of brand storytelling and audience engagement. Currently, I am an Editorial Intern for another magazine, forecasting trends and writing targeted content to best reach our audience. I believe my background in editorial work gives me a holistic understanding of a publication/company, which I believe is imperative when considering how to formulate a creative strategy in order to maintain a consistent company identity and communicate the correct message. When Iām not behind a desk or typing away at a coffee shop, I love nothing more than spending quality time with friends and family, reading a great book, playing guitar, or drawing (social media scrolling omitted).
