About Me
Hi, My name is Makayla Maxwell. I recently completed my Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Iowa State University, graduating in May 2024, after earning my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in the Spring of 2022. Following graduation, I began preparing to apply to PA school with plans to matriculate in the Fall of 2025 or 2026. I am currently seeking opportunities to expand my healthcare experience, enhance my resume, and gain exposure to various areas of medicine. During my time as a Graduate Assistant, I taught a 500-level anatomy course and facilitated learning in a human cadaver lab. Over the past five years, I also gained valuable experience working as a Patient Care Technician, a Histopathology Lab Assistant, and a Physical Therapy Intern. These roles have equipped me with a strong foundation in healthcare, and I am seeking a position that allows me to work closely with physicians, PAs, and nurses while gaining direct patient care experience.
